AlexisOnFire Day!!!!!

Happy alexisonfire day!!! What? You don't know what that is? Well last year on this very day my bestfriend went to the Alexisonfire concert and it "changed her life". So this year today she declared it alexisonfire day! And being the great friend I am, I am celebrating it too!  You may ask, do you even listen to them? And the answer is no. I listen to them when I am with her, or if she wants me to listen to a specific song or something, but on a daily basis no I do not. I think they sound good and they have good music, but hey I'm not much of a music person altogether. I read all the time, it's what I do. She listens to music all the time, it's what she does. Why, you may ask, am I celebrating then? Because, she's my bestfriend and if she's happy then I'm happy. =) <3 So why not?!?!? You celebrate too!!

Spring Break News!

The biggest piece of news I heard from spring break is that AT&T bought Tmobile. My friend told me about it this morning when I got to school. It captured my attention because I have Tmobile and my friend informed me when he saw my phone. He said, "So, how do you like having AT&T?" And I had no clue what he was talking about, so then he explained that they bought them. My service hasn't changed any so it doesn't really matter to me that they bought them.

Egronomics

We should be concerned about the proper ergonomics when using a computer because the proper ergonomics can enhance the quality of our computer use. Such as proper viewing (angle of eye sight), angle of our wrists, our back posture, etc. Without ergonomics we could strain something important.

Applying Sound to a Powerpoint

The hardest thing about applying sound to a power point was having to re-record for a certain slide if you messed up when narrating. You had to redo all the slides after the slide you wanted to fix, so there was a lot of pressure to try not to screw up your lines. I'm not sure what I would like to do next with sound, anything and everything seems interesting!

Problems at Westside

Dear Mr. McDonough,

                     There are issues at Westside High School that should not be over looked. Some are minor, others need more attention at the current point in time. One issue that should be addressed is the traffic. We need a better system for the student parking area. After school or sometimes even before school, it takes a really long time to make it out of the parking lot and down the street to turn. Some parents need to get back to work after picking up their kids or have places to go and with how the traffic is its impossible to get in and out within a feasible amount of time. Maybe there could be a person out there directing traffic so that the "jams" are prevented or we could  just put up signs to show people not to come in the exit.

Musical Background

If I had to put music on my "Digital Scavenger Hunt" that I did, I would use music that insinuated a sort of "chase". You know the kind of music the play in the background when there's an action scene in a movie? I would use something like that, or something fun and up beat!

~*Sound*~

Sound is an important factor in life. It plays a key role in communication with other beings. Sound allows us to be notified and alert when our other senses such as sight or touch has failed us. Without sound we wouldn't be able to enjoy music or the laughter of our best friends, etc. We express most of our emotions with sound.  For projects such as power points, videos, etc. sound can make it more interesting and can grab the viewers attention. If I could listen to anything in the world, I would listen to music.

Vacation!

If I could go any where in the world for vacation I would go to the Hawaii. I want to enjoy the  beautiful beaches and nice weather, experience different cultures, and relax! My mom has been four times and I haven't been once! It's time I get to go and have fun, relax (and meet the island boys). I want to snorkel in the clear waters and try exotic foods. I want to be up close and personal with a giant sea turtle. I want to sit back and watch the sunset while laying on the beach. If i could go any where for vacation, I'd go to this wonderful place I've heard so much about!

It is important for students to know how to dress in a professional manner because the knowledge will come in handy for the future. You have to make a good first impression no matter what the situation is, and knowing how to dress is a big step for making a good impression.

3 Important Things an 8th Grader Must Know About High School

What are 3 important things an 8th grader must know about high school? First off, you must know that when coming into high school life will not be the same. You will undoubtedly have more homework, less free time, lots of projects, and have more than one teacher that you will not like. Its easy to overcome those issues. For the homework situation you just have to learn time management, and as for the teachers... well life isn't fair. There will always be some one you don't like, so you have to suck it up. Also, its best that you take advanced courses in high school. The more knowledge you obtain, the easier the rode will be later on in life. Lastly, in high school you should be OPEN-MINDED. Be open to new people, new ideas, new places, be activities, etc. You have to branch out or high school wont be any fun! Be creative, learn new things, try to stay active, just have fun!

How else can I use my wiki?

My wiki can serve for other purposes than just for Digital Media. One way I can use my wiki  is to put up information that some of my friends ask me about. Such as things like homework pages, notes, vocabulary, etc from other classes.

About Me

My name is JeNae' McDonald. I am in the 10th grade. Three words to describe me are intelligent, outgoing, and creative. My favorite subject in school is math. Math has always been my easiest subject, I understand it the most and I'm naturally good at it. My least favorite subject is history. History has never really sparked an interest in me. There are always too many wars to remember and when they happened, they all start to seem the same to me. My favorite thing to do outside of school is read and hang out with my best friends. I know its a shocker, who actually uses all of their spare time reading? Well I do. Reading provides an escape from reality and stressful problems, so I enjoy to read as much as I can. In group situations I like to be the leader. It's not so much the fact that I don't like to be bossed around, it's just that I like projects to be done right and nice. I don't like to only put in half the effort in a project. I just can't put my name on a bad piece of work. I consider myself more outgoing than shy. I like to venture out in the world and try new things. I have different pet peeves. My main ones are being told I'm wrong when I know I'm right, being accused of something I didn't do, and people invading my personal space and bother my personal items. I don't like when people touch my stuff, hair, face, food, etc. with out permission. I'm generally a generous person, so if you ask I'll have no problem letting you use something. Overall, I'm easy to get along with and enjoy having a good time.
